Shy is for adults 18 or older. Users must not use Shy to contact minors, impersonate minors, solicit minors, or attempt to move conversations with minors to another service.

Shy prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Shy is intended for adults 18 or older. These standards explain how Shy prevents, reports, and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Shy does not allow CSAM, sexual content involving minors, grooming, sextortion, child nudity, sexualized comments about minors, trafficking, exploitation, or any attempt to share, request, or normalize this content.
Users can report safety and age concerns in the app. A report sends a safety note and recent reported-message context to owner review and blocks the reported person for the reporter.
Reported child safety concerns are reviewed as urgent. Shy may remove content, block access, preserve relevant safety records, and take other action needed to protect users and comply with law.
When Shy becomes aware of apparent CSAM or child sexual exploitation, Shy will report to appropriate regional or national authorities where required by law and cooperate with lawful safety requests.

How to report a child safety concern
Inside Shy, open the profile or conversation, choose Report, and select the closest safety or age-concern reason. If you cannot open Shy, email support@shynearby.com with the date, Shy ID or profile details if known, and a short description of the concern. Do not forward or attach CSAM.
