Safety Notes safety overview
Open Shy

Beta safety basics

Shy should make a hello easier, never heavier.

Use Shy only when you want to be visible, keep the pace gentle, and leave the moment something feels off.

Consent

Respect every no, silence, and pause. A quiet wave is not an obligation to chat, share contact, or meet.

Meet Carefully

If you meet, choose a public place, tell someone you trust, and keep your own way home. Shy does not verify identity.

Share Slowly

Keep contact off until you are comfortable. Do not share private addresses, financial info, passwords, or sensitive documents.

Use Controls

Hide now removes you from live discovery. Block removes someone from your Shy. Report sends a safety note and recent reported conversation context to the owner, including age concerns, and blocks them.

Adults

Shy is for people 18 or older. Do not use Shy to contact minors.

Emergency

Shy is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted person nearby.
